In every Intro Breath workshop, I always discuss the benefits of The 3 Levels of Transformational Breath®. Those Levels being, the Physical Level, the Mental & Emotional Level, and the Spiritual Level. Today, I wanted to share some of the Physical Benefits with you.
We breathe oxygen into our lungs, every second of every day. It’s then transferred to our blood, pumped through the heart, and carried to EVERY cell in our body, where it cleans and clears each of those cells of anything unnecessary, and transports it BACK to the lungs in the form of carbon dioxide. We don’t have to think about it: Breathing is an involuntary function, and most of us only use about 20-30% of our lung capacity.
But what is this exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide? Really? Primarily, detoxification. Over 70% of ALL our toxins are released through carbon dioxide. Increasing our lung capacity, will automatically increase our ability to detoxify our bodies. The benefits, of detoxification to name a few, are, better metabolism, increased absorption of nutrients, improved elimination, better sleeping patterns, clearer thought processes, increased energy and overall increased vitality. Wow! Right?
Greater oxygenation to our cells is the most preventative measure we can take to avoid all anaerobic diseases. "Anaerobic" meaning any disease that does not live or grow when oxygen is present.
1931 Nobel Prize Winner Dr. Otto Warburg proved that cancer cannot grow in an oxygenated state. He said, “All normal cells have an absolute requirement for oxygen… Deprive a cell 35% of its oxygen for more than 48 hours and it may become cancerous.”
Overall, increasing our physical lung capacity translates to greater detoxification, more energy, and the prevention of anaerobic disease. So, I hope this information inspires you to Breathe!!! Taking the time to breathe more consciously is the most accessible and economic way to improve your health on every level. Every Breath You Take improves your life!!!
